It’s an easy job, but the customers that come in just don’t have a clue. Or they yell at you. I am all self taught too, in knitting and sewing. Sewing takes a lot of patience, but you’ll get it in no time. Knitting is DEFINITELY harder. x
I’m no knitting queen. I have the basics down and can successfully knit a sloppy scarf but I will get there. So much feel for horrid customers. I use to be a cake decorator. Ive had customers make me cry.

Oooh, you’re sewing? I sew a lot too. I actually work in a fabric/dressmaking supply shop. It sucks bollocks.
Well, I am learning. I just got a sewing machine a week ago. It’s pretty difficult to learn without the physical presence of a teacher but I make do. I taught myself to knit and do just about every other crafty thing I enjoy doing. It will be nice not having to hand sew everything. Doesn’t all work suck? =P Thats a bummer though because I always wanted to work at a craft supply shop.
Okay, it’s time to tackle this sewing machine again. I know what I was doing wrong yesterday - I forgot to put the damn foot down. Which is kind of a metaphor for my life.
